I've something polemical to say about equality and status. I haven't got the theory to do it, but it probably centres around how anomie is reflected in the Gini co-efficient. I do wonder about the selfish workaholic and what sort of cultural illness that is. The shininess of cortisol and heart-disease, private healthcare as a status indicator.
