Incidentally, I find I have to air this opinion regarding earlier casting rumours from the next Batman film; in The Dark Knight the reason William Fichtner was the mob bank guy during Joker's heist has nothing to do with foreshadowing him as a supervillain (though I would not be entirely surprised to see him return as a mob bank guy), it's a call back to HEAT, in which he plays the guy whose bonds they rip off from the armoured car at the start, HEAT being a film strongly implied to have made up about half of TDK's DNA. This came to me yesterday. I'll bet you three pence that I am right.
