My Apple Music For You mix was all sexy pop music on Saturday. Today it's all grinding sludge rock. Get it together Apple Music.

Thing is, I'm not a wealthy man, but I still just threw a 64gb iPad down two flights of stairs and, when that didn't work, smashed it repeatedly into the ground like the hominid at the start of 2001 until the screen started working normally again. The case doesn't look so hot, but it's working as intended.

but that's only patriotism. The best song I've ever heard is still this:

I listen to podcasts constantly when I am walking around, which I do constantly. I find my days are more meaningful when I don't listen to anything when I constantly walk around, because I compose in my head discussions and essays and conversations that don't exist otherwise. I don't listen to enough records either. I am tempted by the new releases section on Spotify to listen to just everything. I think what needs to happen is a rota system. On Mondays I listen to podcasts, Tuesdays nothing but Skeptoid, Wednesdays and Thursdays nothing but new music on Spotify. Friday and Saturday at some point requires me to listen to Kermode and Mayo's Film review.

I said once that I'm supposed to know everything, and it's powerfully clear that I know nothing whatsoever. So instead I'm going to try and do everything I can to fill my dead time walking with new things.

One of the things that bugs me about Manchester is that it thinks its music is good and worth celebrating. Still, there's always The Fall and I don't know their music at all. Maybe I am giving that a try.

Honestly though a city where James sells out and Pixies don't has serious self-esteem issues.

I might move slower than continental drift, but I do eventually do what I say I will. That said, I do have two TVs in this house. I didn't pay a single penny for either of them, and that's why.
