Today is a good time for making new friends. A good deed may have unforeseen consequences. Don’t upset any druids. You will soon be going on a very strange journey. Your lucky food is small cucumbers. People pointing knives at you are probably up to no good. PS, we really mean it about the druids.

Read a New Yorker piece about how Christopher Nolan's movies are structured as games rather than novelistic narratives, and how this comes to a head in Inception, which is entirely game-like. These are observations I've made myself, and recently, so I agree. Naturally the entire commentariat at the site rejects it out of hand, and I get the impression I always get reading anything online these days - people don't like Chris Nolan. It seems hardly anyone does like his writing or his films.

I was saying the other day that the best type of film to me, my favourite and my love, is the heist movie. Nolan loves a heist, a puzzle, a plot and a game too, so I love Christopher Nolan.

Just think: in '77 you had The Clash but George Lucas, in 2012 we have The Killers but Chris Nolan. I'll fucking take it.
