30Hz Tone

If your speakers can reproduce it at an audible volume and your ears can hear it, it sounds like the auditory equivalent of a brain haemorrhage. I occasionally pick tones like this up when I'm at home and there are vans parked a street away running their engines. Very irritating.

Now at 15kHz tone will sound as if your head is about to asplode.

Spent two hours learning about DACs for my PC's sound and coveting cheap and cheerful, but awesome, Grado SR60 headphones.

Then I spent a further two hours thoroughly wallowing in the most turgid and pretentious parts of my record collection, which are those, considerably. Sick to death of it now, but happy.
