I figure today I will get up to Oscar speed, and tentatively schedule a double bill at the nonlocal multiplex, and watch Black Swan and The King's Speech. It doesn't happen too often that (I'm anticipating they will be) Academy recognised movies look like something I'd want to go to the effort of seeing, the last time was in 2007, which was a banner year for crazy tough-guy movies. I've been listening to more film programmes on the radio and what-have-you this year, so I actually feel like putting the effort in to a greater degree than normal. Not that I've been to a movie in three months.

Perhaps I'll review them. That's what bloggers do isn't it?
