Dec. 9th, 2012 05:41 pmI might actually do the Spook Country thing and buy those GSG9.2s. I can't think of a better way to counteract weak arches and weak ankles and attendant issues with running while still flying the Society of Cyberpunk Nerds flag.
See i do have quite a lot of geeky interests me, as you may have noticed, but I'm utterly and repugnantly and histrionically sick of geek-chic. I'd sooner razor off my fingertips and drink Domestos than own a Transformers T-shirt for example. I am typically and offensively inconsistent when it comes to standing behind my blog - I own a Dr Strangelove-poster T-shirt which I wear enthusiastically.
Hey an anecdote!:
In my comedy films class my lecturer asked is anyone related to his view that Strangelove was a brilliant comedy, my apathetic classmates showed no interest, so I confidently proclaimed it one of the best films I've ever seen. Which it clearly is. If that level of ignorance and indifference is attendant of a magnificent thing then it's good enough for me to wear a poster design for it on t-shirt.
