Prokofiev round the Christmas tree.

Okay, so last year it was a reggae Christmas, and all was well. This year I'm going to be conventional and drop some Christmas action. Well, for given values of conventional, whoever it was that decided that the soundtrack to a Soviet movie about a imaginary soldier was Christmassy was operating on a plane removed from the rest of us. At least you'd think so, except it clearly is.

But then there's this piece, which is a different proposition again, and much cooler.
